Senior Research Clinician | Biomedical, Translational Research & Clinical Trials Coordinator

Rommy Castaneda
BHSc Naturopathy, BHSc Nutritional Medicine, PhD candidate

Rommy is a Scientific & Biomedical Researcher with a focus on Clinical and Translational Medicine, Health Research, and Development. Holding both a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy (BHSc) and a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine (BHSc), she is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland, where her research centres on women’s health, specifically the role of Candida overgrowth and its impact on women’s health.
With 17 years’ experience as both a researcher and clinician, Rommy works across a broad spectrum of health research areas, exploring a wide range of health conditions and uncovering innovative solutions that can be applied across multiple fields. As a health scientist with clinical expertise, her work spans from discovering natural compounds to examining biochemical processes and translating scientific findings into innovative medical treatments and real-world applications. This diverse experience enables her to approach complex health challenges with a multidisciplinary perspective and apply solutions that extend across a wide range of health conditions.
In her role as Senior Research Clinician and Clinical Trial Coordinator at Evidence Sciences, Rommy leads initiatives in clinical research, regulatory affairs, intellectual property, legislative compliance, and clinical trial design and delivery. Her work contributes to R&D, the clinical applications of emerging health solutions, and educational program development promoting both scientific and practical knowledge.

Emily Pickering

Emily Pickering is a Senior Research Clinician with over 10 years of experience in both clinical practice and clinical trials research. She currently manages the Clinical Trial Monitoring Services at Evidence Sciences, where she specialises in trial design and management, particularly in chronic metabolic diseases and associated symptoms, including pain management. Emily’s expertise is instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of clinical trials, contributing to the company’s focus on delivering high-quality monitoring services.
Her PhD research, which focused on chronic metabolic diseases, pain management, and the gut microbiome, serves as the foundation for her ongoing work. She is leading research into the role of incretin hormones and integrating evidence-based therapies into prevention and treatment strategies for chronic diseases.
Emily’s interdisciplinary approach and commitment to complementary medicine drive her contributions to the integration of evidence-based therapies into mainstream healthcare, ultimately advancing solutions to complex health challenges and enhancing patient quality of life.
